What is Celebrate Recovery?

We host a Newcomers 101 class every Thursday after large group.  Here you can learn more about CR things like:

  • Celebrate Recovery is a safe and welcoming place where you can connect with people just like you and find hope, help, and healing.

  • It is a Christ centered 12 step program that helps people recover from various types of hurts, hang-ups, or habits.

CR is

  • A safe place

  • Anonymous and confidential

  • A place to find support and guidance, without fixing

  • Biblically based and Christ-centered (8 principles = Beatitudes)

  • A community of acceptance & accountability

How does Celebrate Recovery Work?

Small Groups

  • The real “work” of recovery is done in small groups

  • We offer Share Groups and Step Groups

  • Both types of groups are safe, confidential & anonymous

  • Both types of groups accept you wherever you are in your recovery journey

  • All small groups are gender specific

Share Groups

  • Open sharing or can answer the large group focus question on the back of the weekly handout.

  • No long-term commitment

  • No homework

  • OK to pass

  • Men’s and Women’s groups are gender specific, Men with Men & women with Women

  • Share group experience is strongly encouraged before starting a Step Study group

Step Groups

  • When you’re ready to commit and go deeper and work the 12 Steps

  • On average, a 9-month commitment

  • Same two leaders, same people in the group each week

  • Exchange numbers with people you meet here and reach out during the week.
